Women in Golf

Mission Statement

To grow active women members playing golf, having fun, playing competitions. Through this we aim to generate growth in the game and themselves.

Women’s Golf Pathway and Programs

At Darwin Golf Club we are excited to show how serious we are about women in sport and in the overall Golf Community. We have opportunities for women of all ages and all abilities to participate and have fun.

Based on the understanding that Golf is a Game for Life, women come to the game at various stages in their lives and sometimes have years off in the middle and come back to it again later. Our Women’s Golf Pathway and Programs has been designed by Bec West, PGA of Australia Certified Professional, to grow women in the game, to support women in their journey and help them to become Golfers for Life.

Our core values in this space are: kindness, support, encouragement, diversity, inclusion, growth, acceptance and fun.

See below for a diagram to demonstrate our Pathway opportunities and our Commitment to supporting women in the game and in our golf community.

Moxie Mob Comp

This pathway for women entering competition in golf is aimed at keeping it fun and supportive while growing in the game. Most weeks will be played as team-based games so as to avoid anyone feeling overwhelmed or concerned about participating. This is a safe space where we encourage each other and support each other’s journey.

One round per month will be an individual Stableford to help players continue to grow in confidence so they are ready to take on more individual competitive golf in our main Competition Days.
